A seriously soft and substantial hooded sweatshirt in a long-lasting cotton/polyester blend. Our heavyweight fabric is brushed on the inside for an extra-cozy feel.
The Katahdin Iron Works operated in the north woods for much of the 19th century, employing thousands of hardworking Mainers. Inspired by their grit and strength, we designed our Katahdin Iron Works line of rugged work clothes to stand up to all kinds of rough use.

Zipper doesn't work
I bought this Sweatshirt for my husband for Christmas. The zipper gets stuck in the seaming at the bottom and can only be put on and off over the head. Otherwise, the material is very nice.

Heavyweight hoodie
As usual, very well made sweatshirt. Heavier than I expected but that's hard to determine from a catalog. Fabric is not as soft as my other Bean hoodies but OK. Just know it is a very warm sweatshirt.

A Goodie of a Hoodie.

Thin & Expensive
I bought this but returned it. It was a thinner fabric, and the fleece was not as dense as I had hoped for. Especially at that price.
Also, I’m on the lean side at 6’1” and 175lbs and a Large was too tight around my shoulders.

inner layer comes off in wash
I thought I had somehow left a kleenex in a pocket after washing one jacket by itself. Except it was a never-worn hoodie that I was washing before putting in husband's closet. Lots of fuzz in dryer lint trap. Washed a 2nd time - still lots of white lint all over. And still a lint trap full of white lint. All this from ONE jacket. If I could have given this ZERO stars I would have. I have been purchasing LLBean products for decades. This is the first time I thought a product was completely unacceptable. It's going back along with another one that hadn't yet made it to the wash.

"....Like that old time (R&R)"... sweat
This sweat does not have the same feel as older "models" like 6 pls years ago. It is not the same heavy duty sweat. Still have the old ones. Time will tell when the cold weather hits. Lack of colors...light blue ?
