Bean Boots
The 8 inch boots were too high for me and cut into my legs.

Horrible sizing.
Horrible Horrible fit. Can pull these off with the laces as toght as possible. Why are the ankles so obnoxiously wide!?!? Of course all the smaller sizes are now sold out before Christmas. Thanks for the Grinch gift LL Bean.

Perfect for Farm Life
Wet cold days don't stop all the chores on our small farm. After ordering a pair of the Bean Boot, I'm wondering what took me so long. They are tortured but keep my feet warm and dry all day. That's important for getting everything done, but also help ward off colds and sinus problems stemming from slogging around with wet cold heavy feet all day.

Very Disappointed!
Very disappointed. Boot ran at least one size bigger on my foot than size ordered. Flannel lining felt cheap and provided a perception of not being able to provide any comfort and warmth in cold wet weather. Not sure what happened to the legendary bean boot quality but these boots are no longer carrying on that heritage.

Love / Hate
I had a pair of these uninsulated boots that my dad gave me back in high school and just retired them 2 years ago. Since I am now 50, I thought I would reward myself with a new pair of goretex Bean Boots. I now hate these boots because they fit terrible, liner gaps up, and cannot field hint with them because of the fit / liner. Still love LLBean but wish they would have been upfront with how this boot would wear over time compared to my originals that I still love today.

Great multiple-season boot
I bought these a few years ago. I bought them in Maine while on a trip. I didn't get to wear them for a few months after the trip which was to Acadia in September. They're moderately insulated and not fully gusseted. So don't expect to stand in water up to the top of the boot nor wear thin socks in negative temps for hours. What they are though is a great boot for 4-ish inch water or snow. I run the toboggan in these in deep snow. I just tie them tighter to make sure the snow falls off without getting in the boot. I wear medium weight wool socks and my feet are warm and dry for hours. Like I said these boots can handle deeper snow if you tie them tighter and knock off the snow from time to time.

Sweet Boots!!
Fantastic new boots. High quality, great looking. Leather is thick and requires a little breakin... but totally worth the extra pair of socks for two weeks.
