Good hiking shoe
These are sturdy, well made hiking shoes. I’ve put about 15 miles of UP trail hiking on them so far and a comparable number of street miles. They need a little time for break in.
I have a problem with mild plantar fasciitis. I will say these are lacking in arch support. I inserted my orthotics easily by pulling out the stock liners. With the inserts that are great. I can’t comment on the waterproofing but I will say they are warm.
I would definitely buy them again.

Excellent Hiker
An excellent three-season hiker. Good fit; the tread is aggressive and tends to pick up mud but is easily cleaned with a stiff bristled brush.

Good shoes, but not waterproof
These are good shoes (sturdy, good traction, good impact absorption, laces that stay tied, etc.), but they're not waterproof. They were the first few months I owned them, but for some reason now even if I just walk in wet grass that isn't high, water enters the shoe. I plan, with some reluctance, on returning my pair.
