Why We Love It
For more than 80 years, L.L.Bean has set the standard of softness for chamois flannel, and this collection carries on that tradition. Heavier and warmer than our other flannel sheets and pillowcases, these are made exclusively for us in Portugal by master weavers who skillfully brush both sides of the fabric for an unbeatably plush feel that gets better with every washing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SheilafromEnid from Chamois Flannel feels like VELVET These sheets feel like velvet. So luxurious! Our first set came in and we had a cold spell so we tried them out. Fantastic! Then a sheet showed bad stitching. I called to see if I should exchange. Customer Service was over and above. They shipped a new set along with the free shipping label. I didn't have to download from the Internet. Set first set back in the package from the 2nd set. Popped 2nd in the washer/dryer and they look perfect. Both sets do have an odd feature - a decorative white strip that is on the back of the flat sheet and inside the pillow cases. Makes no sense to me, but the sheets feel so wonderful!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pattytattat from Not like my old chamois These flannel sheets are very nice - they are heavy and well napped. But I would not compare them to some of the older LLBean chamois sheets (15 years ago?) that I am still nursing along. Nor is the material the same as the LLBean chamois shirts my husband and I have (which is more like the older version of the chamois sheets). It seems like the thread count is lower and the nap on the flannel is longer on the new sheets - which is nice at first, but could be prone to pilling. And the top hem isn't folded exactly on the grain, so it comes out of the dryer moderately askew. (Which I have noticed on a lot of the new sheets lately.) This isn't a big deal, but it seems another little quality step that was passed over.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NWLizzie from Great purchase ! The Macbeth color is just beautiful; very rich looking and gives the bedroom a very warm look for the long winter months. I've washed these sheets twice now and still have "lint" but less each time. I would give these wonderful sheets five stars except for the following annoyances. I have a normal-size queen bed. The depth of the fitted sheet is fine, however; I find the length of the flat sheet very generous but the width stingy. I'm especially sad there are no king-size pillowcases. The standard pillowcases are on the small side as well which means I need to hunt up matching pillowcases elsewhere. These things would not keep me from ordering again though !

Rated 5 out of 5 by TrevorfromSanDiego from The best sheets. I needed new sheets. My old, cheap department store flannel sheets were fading and the pillow cases were tearing. So I found these on here (long time happy LL Bean stuff wearer) and ordered them. I've never slept in softer, warmer, more awesome sheets. I barely even need a comforter since I live in San Diego. Which brings up another salient point...it's July in San Diego. Why am I sleeping in these thick flannel sheets!?! Because they're soft and wonderful on my skin. Even if I just sleep on top of them. You should get these. They're great. And if the rest of my LL Bean stuff is any indicator, they'll last a lot longer than cheap department store sheets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by legallybrunette from The BEST flannel sheets on the market. Period. I am perpetually cold, so when the mercury plummets I break out an accumulated collection of down duvets and flannel sheet sets. I have tried flannel sheets from multiple well-known retailers - these are a bit more expensive but are dramatically better than any of their competitors. The fabric is heavy but not stiff or stifling, the cut is generous enough that you don’t find yourself pulling your share of the blankets back from your spouse in the middle of the night, and they wash and wear like a dream (no shrinking or piling, through multiple seasons). I have purchased these for king, full, and twin size beds and the quality is the same. Awesome. They are so much better than any others I have tried, I would rather save up for these than settle for anything else. Well worth the investment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by NewEnglander78 from Progressively have gotten worse I purchased these sheets in August of 2018, didn’t use them until November of 2018. After a few washings I started to notice the Top sheet especially becoming very rough, scratchy with little pill balls all over that made it feel like sandpaper. Not at all what I had expected seeing that I have the solid version of these sheets and they are super soft & warm. Too make matters worse the trim portion on the sheet has torn with the last washing! Considering the cost of these sheets I was extremely surprised and upset to see these sheets go downhill that fast.

Rated 2 out of 5 by asteriskadonis from I didn't like these sheets Based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews of these sheets, I decided to try them. My initial impression wasn't great; they felt more scratchy than soft, although the fabric was indeed very thick. I hoped that multiple washes would make them softer, but after six months, not only did they not get any softer, but they also started to pill. I returned them today and am going to get a second set of the Premium Supima Flannel Sheets instead (I have had nothing but great experiences with those sheets and highly recommend them-they're like sleeping on clouds).

Rated 5 out of 5 by JustGini from Soft warm sheets that stay put We had well worn flannel sheets that we loved, but they don't fit our deeper mattress. We managed to pull them off the corners and tangle ourselves in them several times a week. Reluctantly I ordered these Heritage Chamois Flannel Sheets. These are the best sheets ever! Between 15" pockets and the heavy weight of the flannel, they stay put all night long, and they don't cling to me when I turn over or move. The sheets are soft on the skin and warm up quickly. We have two sets of sheets. These sheets are not inexpensive, but two weeks later, I'm ordering a second set because we can't imagine putting anything else on our bed this winter.
