Stiff backing prevents embroidery of name.
Do not buy it if you want to embroider the name yourself. A stiff backing makes it impossible to poke a needle into the stocking. Otherwise, the stocking is very pretty.

Needlepoint Christmas Stockings from LL Bean were better than expected! There were several patterns to select your choice. Mine were personalized with my family names and came out beautiful. I really like their fabric structure. Would recommend these items!
