Product Details
Our heaviest-weight flannel. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. And it still gets better with age. In fact, customers rave about the "impeccable quality" and tell us that these shirts just get more and more comfortable over the years.
- Expertly brushed eight times on each side for exceptional softness.
- 7.5 oz. Portuguese cotton flannel.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Original angled pockets and cross-stitched buttons.
- Double-stitched seams for toughness.
- Unbreakable buttons.
- Shirttail hem.

Ready to order another favorite Chamois Shirt!
Upon opening the package of my new Chamois shirt I knew it was going to be my favorite. It is soft yet rugged. When I wore it I felt wrapped in a flannel blanket I owned for years. It came out of the dryer ready to wear and I looked ahead to wearing it again soon. My wife often pats me when I wear it. Bonus! I will definitely order another.

Great shirt
Bought shirt in XL/Tall and it fits 6'4 frame very well. Good quality, color (burgundy) is rich looking, shirt washes very well, and looks good.

Chamois Shirt
I love this shirt! I ordered my regular size and it fit perfectly, I have at least four in different colors. They last a long time and don't wear out. I would order this shirt again in a minute.

Way Too Long If You Are Short
This would have been my third Chamois Shirt, Traditional Fit in a Regular Small, but it was comically too long. So much so that I checked the label to make sure it was not a Tall. I then thought maybe it was mislabeled and I should try an exchange, but I looked more closely at the pictures. Compare the sleeves to shirt length to other shirts on the website and it is clearly much longer. This was obviously a running change in recent years but the shirt just does not work now if you are on the shorter side. I really don't see this fitting anyone under 6 foot, but hey, if you want to look like a kid in his Dad's shirt, go for it.

Great Shirt Does Not Last
The cut is exactly as it has been over the decades. The material has changed. It is softer when new, but it does not hold its shape as well. These work shirts used to last years before they became threadbare. Not so now. It's threadbare after two years of use. It's not fashion, it's a work shirt. As a work shirt it is probably the best year round. But the durability of the flannel is quite poor.

It will be handed down
They are super quality shirts. I like mine over a hoodie sweatshirt, in fall.
