Rated 5 out of 5 by ErinFB from One of my best purchases EVER I waffled and waffled on whether I could justify spending the money on a down comforter, but after traveling in Iceland where everyone has down comforters, I had to have one. I did the research and chose the LL Bean baffle-box, and I could not be happier. I want to be in my bed all the time. I feel cozy and pampered in my bed now. I was a little worried about having a black cat and an off white comforter, but amazingly, his fur doesn't stick to it too badly, and the little that does, comes off easily. That the feathers are sourced humanely was important to me, too, so it's a win all around. Love, love, love this comforter. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by bill55 from Not too hot or to cool So far we have no issues with this comforter. We were looking for a winter comforter, but most of the down comforters are too hot. We sleep at 56 degrees and this one is perfect. You probably have to get cold really easily to go with the warmer downs. Yes their is a slight crinkle but we use a duvet cover so I don't really notice it and I'm a light sleeper. We had previously tried the LL Bean Lightweight Down Comforter, but that one was too noisy. So far the baffle box stitch is working but too soon to tell. Our old down (another brand) didn't stay fluffy and had cold spots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jennifer43 from Perfect! I bought this comforter about one month ago. It is exactly what I wanted and what I was looking for. I had wanted a down comforter for a long time, and I really wanted a cream-colored one because that goes better with my home decor. I was pleasantly surprised at how light it is but still warm at the same time. It does have the crinkly sound that some others have described, but I personally like that. I also like that it fits my queen sized bed perfectly without being too short on the sides- many comforters are the full/queen, which makes it too small for my pillow-topped mattress. I absolutely love this comforter, and I am so glad I made the purchase. I hope to use it for many years to come!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JesseSLC from Will winter ever come! I'm in love. I keep my house fairly chilly at night -- and I don't like to be overly warm when sleeping. This comforter is the perfect heft (think Goldilocks -- not too light, not too heavy, but just right) and the perfect warmth. If anything, this fall has been too warm for me to fully exploit the delicious snuggle-factor of this comforter. It came in a lovely bag, and it only took a few minutes of ridiculous fluffing before it came into its own. There were a few errant feathers upon removing it from packaging, but otherwise, I've not felt or seen any feathers. It seems supremely well made -- and of course, only time will tell. But, the stitching and construction seem quite sturdy and given that LLBean is backing it, I'm optimistic for longevity. I will be buying one for the guest room in short order. Everyone should get to enjoy sleeping nestled beneath this comforter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Beaner33 from Very warm but not durable Purchased this in 2015. The storage bag is cheap and broke after two uses. No way to get another bag. The cover is made in China and is not durable. This was being used almost every day, and washed per the instructions. At almost two years it has not lasted. Feathers are coming out. It is very warm though, especially when using the Ultrasoft Comfort Flannel Sheet Set. Not something that is carried in the stores so exchanging it is kind of a pain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fiona from Flat and barely filled Very disappointed by this item. I don't really see the point of paying more than 300$ for a down comforter that is barely filled and so flat. I bought a down comforter precisely because I wanted something fluffy and comfy. The comforter I received was barely filled (you can see right through some of the squares), and was still very flat after spending a few minutes trying to fluff it up. Will be sending it back today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by phido from Sleeping under a cloud After sleeping under a friends llbean down comforter I was simply shocked that it was so warm and light weight - like a cloud. I immediately decided to update my old llbean polyester filled of 15 years to a new one. I purchased the warm version as living in the mid south doesn't get as cold as northern areas but it can get quite cold. It's lofty and light, not as puffy as the warmest version. This came in its own canvas storage bag. I have not had any issues with feathers coming out and I don't find it to be noisy at all. I have been sleeping under this for nearly a month now with no additional blankets, and have been nice and warm especially since the temperatures dropped to freezing this past week and I keep my thermostat at 62. I am extremely happy with this purchase also the fact I did get it on sale. Also very important in making my purchase decision was the fact it was washable (although I have not had to wash it yet). I have been an llbean customer for years and I'm very familiar with their quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OBXLucy from Perfect! I needed a very light in weight comforter that would keep me very warm and this one is perfect! Compared to my down sleeping bags the comforter looks rather flimsy, but it is surprisingly warm! For the first time in years, I do not have to wear socks to bed to keep my feet warm. I love the neutral cream color and the way it looks on my bed. I have read reviews that say it crinkles loudly when moved or shifted; it does make a crinkling sound, but after one night, I stopped noticing. Love this comforter!
