Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and practical I bought this rug when I saw it at the L.L. Bean Home store in Freeport. I was struck by the beautiful mix of colors in the straw tweed, which somehow manages to have a variety of colors but also look essentially neutral all year. I've had it about two years in my tiny NY apartment and it looks brand new. My cat loves it too and sharpens her claws on it as much as she uses her scratching post. For a while I made her stop but I soon realized that it has zero effect on the rug, she hasn't hurt it at all, not even a snag. So yes, I highly recommend this rug. It's durable for busy areas but pretty enough to go anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value When I ordered this rug I didn't notice that it was labeled "indoor/outdoor" made of poly-something fibers. I was afraid this would turn out to be some plastic astro-turf thing that would be totally inappropriate. The rug arrived yesterday. The fibers are soft and like cloth. The color "ocean" is beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased. I have no idea how well this will wear but I put it down in our foyer which is a low traffic area and it should be fine. I couldn't be happier with this beautiful rug.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed We purchased this rug around the end of Feb or first part of March of this year. We purchased this one because we live in a wet environment and needed something that would withstand the wet and a couple of dogs. It arrived here at my home very quickly and it looks great on the floor. The problem that we have with it is, when my husband and I went to move one of our chairs, today, so we could clean our hardwood floors, we found about a 6 inch hole in the rug from where the zigzag stitching came apart. That section of the rug is under the chair and is not accessible by the dogs. We like the rug, but we are disappointed with the quality of thread used to stitch the braids together. Overall the rug has held up great, but for the price that was paid, we would hope the rug would hold up a lot better. It isn't worth it to send it back, so I'll look for some strong thread and close that section up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not holding up to quality expected I purchased this rug to use under my dining table in our new lake home. The color matched another wool rug I purchased for an adjoining room and the rectangle shape and the fact that it is indoor/outdoor was appealing to me - I though it would be durable, easy to clean and keep up. The rug is not holding up well at all - there are spots where the fibers are balling up where people's feet are under the chairs and stray yarns are randomly popping up. It almost looks like a cat had a scratching festival on this rug in spots, even though we don't have pets. I am also not pleased with the way the shape is holding up - the edges are always bowed in and it really doesn't look very rectangular at all. I have a braided wool rug under my dining table in my permanent home that is at least 15 years old, used every day and is just beginning to show wear. In all reality - this may have to go back to LLBean - it is the same price as a braided wool rug and is not worth the money spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy. Love it! Bought this square 7x 9 dark blues to be under our kitchen table. Many a meal dropped on it, dog threw up on it. Cleaned easily. After 4-5 years of wear, last summer we brought it out and power washed the carpet over the deck. Worked great. It dried in the hot July Maine days. Still looking good and receiving same tough love. Thanks LLBean! Might buy another color for another part of the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prettier in person! The colors in the Straw Tweed are just right for us, the online picture doesn't do it justice. The mix of red, blue, yellow and muted green blend beautifully to be colorful yet subtle. Also very happy to know it is made in America!
