Rated 5 out of 5 by SarniaKid from Love the colors! Bought this backpack as a change from my other plain color ones and am not disappointed! Great mix of colors and I like the slight difference with the sewn-on label as opposed to the embossed stitching. As usual, these Stowaway Day Packs totally rock and mine will get a trip to the Bluewater Sandfest in Michigan this coming Saturday! BTW---the red color (Lava) is really nice. However---just a note---the light blue (Gulf Blue) is quite different to the photos. It's not as bright and 2 or 3 shades darker than shown in the pics. Not a problem---just a clarification. Thanks L.L.Bean for such a great little backpack and for the new colors to choose from! I am addicted to these packs---now I have 6! :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by andrea from Well designed ultralight - but ... This little pack is comfortable, (and - of course - super lightweight), with just the right ratio of organizational pocketing to unstructured room for my needs. I really appreciate the excellent design of the design of the mesh pockets -- the mesh itself seems of high quality, and can be cinched in to hold a water bottle more securely. I find the color schemes enlivening, interesting. A problem: after only 3 urban outings, the shoulder strap on the 'water bottle side' began to fray as it pulled away from the body of the pack. This seems to be just the outer covering fraying - not the inner part of the harness. But - it's an issue. I mended it swiftly. This was not an overloaded pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JubileeLB from My Snug Lil Pack I love the way the pack sits close to my body. True, it doesn't stand up on it's own but it is durable and very comfortable. It's small enough to take almost anywhere and quite unobtrusive. I've been using it daily to tote my school supplies to and from work/school. It's also holds my reusable water bottle quite snug, hasn't fallen out once. I haven't tried to pack it into the the travel pocket; that wasn't a main point for this purchase. The size, light-weight and durability were. I love the bright colors of the red and blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HollyNYC from Cute and comfy! This was somewhat of an impulse buy during COVID-19. I'm hiking a lot more and was tired of hauling my old commuter backpack (now sidelined....). This is super lightweight, could roll up easily into luggage despite having padded straps and lining on the back. It has 3 zippered compartments, one inside that could be used for wallets or passports if you're concerned for safety. It seems quite waterproof and was bone dry after taking it under my poncho on Cave of the Winds at Niagara Falls. My shirt was soaked but my wallet and phone were fine. It is very aesthetically pleasing in the Spruce/Rich Berry color combo. Looking forward to lots more hikes with this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by outdorz from All the features I needed I’ve had a bean pack since last century, and it’s still going strong. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a shoulder sternum strap and it keeps sliding off. So when I saw the Maine Warden pack, I got all excited. Unfortunately, there were too many bells and whistles, and I couldn’t figure out how to put it on. Now, this pack pops up one day on the LLBean website. Hallelujah. Just what I was looking for. Bean quality and no instructions needed. If you are looking for this type of backpack, look no further. BUY THIS ONE. You won’t be sorry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dikyparesh from I give 4 1/2 star It's and excellent day bag. I love it. Bought it about two years ago, and using it almost every week. Frankly, I love this bag. Took it nationwide and internationally and it served me very well with two kids. Bag is small enough to carry all day, yet big enough to carry everything you need for kids and yourself for a whole day. I would give full five star, but have one minor issue that I faced with this bag. After caring this back a few hours on your bag things in bag seems to slouch down as normally it would but it gets a little bit difficult to carry as everything seems to go all the way on the bottom. Perhaps compartments or some sort of divider would have been better to hold things evenly throughout this bag. By the way I had an older version of this bag and my bag is/was always full.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MomOfFive from My new diaper bag! This is one of my best purchases ever from LLBean! I initially bought it to use as a diaper bag on vacation. I wanted something lightweight and a backpack style since we were walking a lot. I loved it so much I started using it as my daily diaper bag! What I love: Roomy enough for my baby’s essentials, front harness strap that keep the shoulder straps in place, lightweight, not so big that I can’t fit through doorways with ease, water bottle holders on the sides. It only took me 5 kids and that many diaper bags to finally find a winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Choochoo from Everything & more I bought this day pack intending to use it at the gym and occasional easy mountain hikes. Who knew Covid-19 would scramble our lives like eggs on a hot skillet? So my Stowaway day pack is now working overtime on my daily long stay-sane walks to the grocery store, Target, plant nursery, and even in a nearby arroyo where I gather flat stones for a garden path. Those rocks are heavy, and the seams are unfazed. There are the perfect amount of pockets: not too many, not too few. And it's comfortable. Thank you L.L.Bean!
