For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.
- Each color is carefully matched to the historical tartans in the Scottish registry.
- Authentic tartans are yarn-dyed for lasting color.

Style, comfort and quality plus being a relative bargain as compared to some of the other online retailers. Due to my lanky build, the long shirttails are perfect. Great for cool days out of doors and inside to help with my heating bills!

Still the Best!
Purchased another Scotch plaid flannel from Beans and as usual these shirts never disappoint…! Super soft, warm and great looking… I’m an old timer now and I have purchased many of these shirts in over 40 plus years and as always they are well made, plaids always match up at sewing points and now you can get them in three different fits… This particular washed Buchanan I had monogrammed for free, as I have the LL Bean credit card and (that’s one of the perks of the card) and it looks great… I can’t say enough good things about Beans flannel shirts…! 5 STARS
