For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Nice shirt with one pet peeve
Cuffs are too tight (on this and all my LL Bean shorts). I don't have large wrists, but if I want to wear a watch the cuff barely fits over it. And is usually ends up snagged above my watch which is annoying. I do wear a sports watch, but not a particularly big one, and I'd expect that a sports watch would be a fairly common item among the LL Bean demographic. Otherwise, I like all my Bean shirts.

Great replacement for my worn out Ultimate Flannel
I tried both this and what I had before and found this to be a better fit. They are warm and cozy for cold New England days. They are also good looking for my personal style. Got 6 different ones.

Fitted means fitted, even with LL Bean
I relied on all the reviews that said even though this shirt is fitted, it still runs large, as is usual with LL Bean clothing. Running large, I agree with, but not for fitted. Slightly fitted is FITTED! Don't believe the reviewers. They obviously don't know their real size. If you're a regular, order the regular.
