Concern about forever chemicals in DownTek
I am considering purchasing this vest as I appreciate the natural materials in its construction. However, I would prefer to buy a non-PFAS DWR treated product. Would L.L. Bean consider making an untreated down version of this vest?

Excellent!
I hate driving during the winter with a bulky coat as a coat restricts my arm movement. This vest is the perfect solution. It keeps me warm AND I can steer with no restriction. Excellent choice. Oh, did I saw that it really keeps me warm? Highly recommended.

Care for Waxed Cotton
To Sean H. In Calumet: The vast majority of true waxed cotton garments are not washable. Wiping them down and re-waxing them is how you care for them. I have several waxed cotton garments that I have owned for years and they have not to absorbed odors, as the wax creates a protective barrier. If you wash it, you will most likely
ruin it. It’s not LL Bean’s fault. You didn’t do your research before making the purchase.
