Is very roomy for it's size. Will be more than adequate for a weekend or a week if needed. I was concerned but when it arrived I couldn't be happier. Good sized without being bulky. Small enough for me to manage without help. Just love it.

Ripped the second time I used it
I was so excited for this bag. I used the bag twice for short, weekend trips and it was perfect but it unfortunately the stitching by the handles ripped the second time I used it. Durability is lacking.

Great bags!
I purchased our first bag 6 years ago for a trip to Africa; it required soft-sided luggage. The bag was for my husband; I like it so much, I finally got myself one. This is a great bag for a two or three night trip.
I know they hold up very well, and they are attractive.
LLBean formerly made these in many more colors; I hope they aren’t phasing them out.

Perfect overnight bag
It's a classic. This bag was exactly what I was looking for to use for weekend getaways. The plaid lining is soft and rich in color. The bag is roomy. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is for the same reason stated by others...it's silly that if you use the snaps to make the bag smaller the minute you put any weight in the bag they come undone...so essentially you will always be using the bag at its full size-unsnapped.

Love it!
Bought one for each member of my family. These are great weekenders to throw in the back of the car for a family getaway. They are deceptively large without being obnoxious. They seem well made and i look forward to adding to our collection! L.L. Bean, please do not stop making these duffles.
