Our heaviest-weight flannel. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. Decent shirt, its just too big.
I loved the material it was super soft and the best thing about the shirt.
The overall color and style was great too, but the bottom of these shirts flair out way too much. It felt like I was wearing a dress.
I'm 6'5", 250lbs and a size Large was big enough that I wanted to try a Medium instead.

I can always count on LL Bean
I can always count on LL Bean. I've been a regular customer for over 50 years. So I know that barring catastrophe these heavy flannels and chamois will last me past 20 years. It always breaks my heart to throw one out but there comes a time when whisker stubble wear the collars to the point where they are frayed. Other than maybe replacing a button ever 10 or 15 years they are always warm and dependable. I wear them hard. I'm in the woods most every day and I don't have time to worry about being tidy.
