Kept me warm while shoveling snow
I bought this originally just to wear out, not do yard chores. One weekend, I wore this to put up Christmas decorations in freezing temperatures. The next day, we received around 7 inches of snow. I put this on while shoveling and it kept me warm as toast. Both days I had an LL Bean long sleeve t-shirt on underneath and I didn’t need a bulky jacket. I now expect to get more wear out of this and use it for working outside the house in cold temps. I’m a Bean fan for life! The fit is great, fits a little baggy, which is good so you can appropriately layer underneath. I have an athletic build with wide shoulders and this fits perfect for me.

Horrendous cut
These classic jacket/flannels were cut a LOT differently. This thing was super wide in the torso, and short... I don't think they used to always be cut this way. I recall when this classic wore more like a normal jacket; a little more narrow ( with just enough room to layer, yes) and definitely not so short! It actually fits horrendous. I was extremely disappointed that an American outdoors classic has been modified to fit some kind of modern trend or, some other kind of style... No idea what LL Bean was thinking on this, or to what pressure they caved to, but this is ridiculous. Sad.

First impressions
Only tried it on but out of the box it doesn't feel like $275 CA. Im 5'8" 185lbs with a muscular build and a regular medium is a bit big on me but doesn't look bulky so ill keep that size. Its very light weight and you can tell its mainly wool, as its not a soft wool. Gave 3 stars mainly because of the price and the fact that I wasn't wowed out of the box, but I will keep it.

Great shirt but no hand pockets
My husband and I love the shirt and material and design except need hand pockets for cold weather or to carry keys, cough drops, etc. Hate returning it.

Great insulated wool shirt!
Great shirt/jacet. I have been wearing this a lot in those “tween temps” of fall to walk my dog. The large size fits perfectly. I’m 5’11 and 195 lbs so fits true to size.
