Tougher and more resilient than treated wood, the HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) used to build this rocker is made partially from recycled materials. Heavy enough to withstand winds and unaffected by wet weather and extreme temperatures, this rocker will stay in place without rotting, warping, cracking, splintering or ever needing to be painted - even if you leave it outside all year-round.

Bad quality
I have had this chair since April 2024. The chair is very nice looking, but not built to last. We store it inside in the winter and it does not get heavy use. A year and a half later the seat is frayed and unusable and the rails on the back snapped. Extremely poor quality -not what I expect from LL Bean. Do not recommend.

They all Broke
I bought 4 of these chairs about 6 years ago. Two broke within a couple years. The others are broken now. Poor design and quality. Definitely not worth the money$. I spent all that money so they would last.

Poor Design
We bought 4 of these chairs and the top finial on two of them has broken off right at the point where they were pre-drilled to secure the cross-over slat. This is a poor design and weakens the structure of the top of the chair. I would not recommend purchasing them
