Our classic casual coat is easy to move in and layer under. With little touches like inverted pleats and buttoned patch pockets it's no surprise this coat continues to be a customer favorite, year after year. Inspired by our iconic Field Coat (originally named Maine Duck Hunting Coat), first introduced in 1924.

Awesome coat
This is my second barn coat because it is so awesome! It provides warmth without weight and bulkiness. And, it is so soft and cuddly. Loden is a really great color. I just wish LL Bean had a hat to match it.

I'm a senior and have always loved the style and look of the barn coat. I wanted a in between coat for fall and winter. This checked all my boxes. Brought the medium and I have plenty of room in it to layer if I need too. Can't wait to wear it in the fall.

Need to offer a petite xx-small…
This jacket is cute, great for layering, just wish they’d offer a petite xx-small as it’s still big. I even washed and dried it in hopes it’d shrink some…but it didn’t. Still like it, and will keep it, just wish, like i said, they’d offer it in a petite xx-small.

A very nice Barn Jacket
This jacket is wonderful for Spring and Fall. As a long-time customer, I have purchased, year's ago, the flannel barn jackets in blue, red, and stone. The flannel in those jackets were heavier and they were better suited for colder weather. Nevertheless, this newer version is great, too, although better for milder weather. I also purchased it in Loden. I think the price of this jacket is very reasonable and I do like the quality.
