Our classic casual coat is easy to move in and layer under. With little touches like inverted pleats and buttoned patch pockets it's no surprise this coat continues to be a customer favorite, year after year. Inspired by our iconic Field Coat (originally named Maine Duck Hunting Coat), first introduced in 1924.

Classy cool look.
Very attractive jacket. The brushed textured collar is the same trim in the pockets and the sleeves. I cuff the sleeves up for a classy look. I needed something dressier than sweatshirt hoodies and this is perfect. Very well made with luxurious fabric.

I live in the adirondack !! So i had to have it !! I just love the look and how well it is made , very comfortable ,and warm ,i got it in the spring ,and used it and what great timing , i got one size bigger so i could wear a sweatshirt or sweater ,and it it made the difference , so i had room to move, i just love it , i get a lot of complements on it , and i tell them it is a LL Bean coat ,love it ,thank you ll bean happy customer

Adirondack Barn Coat
I so wanted to love this jacket when I purchased it. I had a very similar LL Bean jacket many years ago and looked forward to receiving a replacement. First, the dark khaki is a much darker color than that which is pictured on line. I could have lived with it though. The biggest issue with this jacket is it's sizing. It is absolutely huge! I am 5'3" and weigh around 125 and am physically fit. Before purchasing the jacket I read the reviews and decided that the jacket seemed to run a little small. Therefore, I purchased an extra small. The sleeves covered my hands down to my fingernails. Even when I folded the sleeves up exposing the corduroy, they were still way too long. I could fold the buttoned front placket over 2 or 3 times as the jacket was so wide. It was entirely unwearable and I actually laughed out loud when I looked at myself in the mirror with the jacket on. I am a definite size 4 in nearly everything I wear. I traditionally buy small or medium tops. I rarely purchase an XS in anything. Definitely size down at least one size if you purchase this jacket. I imagine if you find a size that fits you correctly, you will like the jacket. I know I would have.
