NEEDS INSIDE PHONE POCKET
I bought this coat 1 year ago and wear it whenever it gets down to zero or below. Keeps me super warm, even at minus 30 degrees. I would give it 5 stars if it had an inside cell phone pocket. Description says it has two inside zipper pockets; but it does not. It has one small inside pocket down low with a valco closure tab; but pocket will not fit an Apple IPhone. There is one large inside zipper pocket down low below the waist where cold air creeps in. This pocket will not keep the IPhone warm enough to prevent battery drain. LLBean needs to redesign the coat to include an inside zippered cell phone pocket at chest height to keep the phone battery warm and prevent discharging when below zero.

Zipper Stopped Working
Very expensive coat and the zipper doesn't work. I heard that other people had the same problem. Happened over a year after I bought it, so I guess I'm out of luck. Not the same LLBean that was before.

You Get What You Pay For- Excellence
I am a retired engineer and obsess over details. The LL Bean Maine Warden's Parka is certainly not short on details to obsess over. The materials are time-proven and constructed to perfection. That includes the laminated Gore-Tex outer shell, the YKK zippers, all snaps and even the style of cord locks on adjustment cords. Every zipper and snap-fastened boundary has a full storm flap to seal out the elements. The Velcro fasteners are smartly placed and of high quality (genuine Velcro). The ability to adjust the fit of the parka is amazing and includes the hood, the waist, the storm skirt, the cuffs and even the collar. Properly adjusted there is no way wind or rain or snow will ever get inside this armor-like garment. It's interesting to note that between you on the inside and the elements on the outside that there are five layers of fabrics: 1) The outer Gore-Tex shell, 2) A drop liner, 3) The down jacket nylon outer shell, 4) The down jacket inner shell, and 5) The down jacket drop liner. Talk about layering! There is so much to learn and adjust on this parka that I believe there should be an operators manual that explains the feature, its purpose, and how to use it for maximum benefit. So in the end I now have two of these excellent parkas-- one in black and one in Warden green. I'm 5'6" and 150 pounds and the medium is perfect and allows for a variety of mid layers. And best of all you get what you pay for- the best technical parka available.

Warden Parka Par Excellence
This is a well thought-out, practical, stylish winter coat/ parka with a bunch of time-tested updated features from yesteryear come back to life. It is a heavy weight, built to last a life time coat with multiple big, covered over, hidden pockets, a thick insulated detachable liner, a big wind protecting collar with a full hood, even side zippers for extra mobility. Feels great snuggling into it knowing cold just won’t matter! Nice colors too.

Best jacket I ever owned
I've owned 2 of these fine jackets over the years. The only reason I gave 3 stars and not 5 is because they have not had any Tall XL in stock for several years now. I need a new one but I guess that's never going to happen.
