Product Details
Made to last not just for a season but for generations, our timeless crewneck features the iconic cable design of Irish fisherman sweaters in a premium Merino-wool blend for exceptional softness and warmth.
The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. From good luck to a plentiful catch, special sentiments were represented in each and every stitch. We've recreated those same authentic cable patterns in a crewneck that's as timeless and warm as its inspiration.
- In a soft, lofty blend of 65% Merino wool, 30% nylon and 5% alpaca wool.
- Handwash, dry flat.
- Ribbed trim.

VERY ROOMY
I'm 5'7" 126 lbs - I usually wear LL Bean size small and sometimes size XS if the top is a "relaxed" fit. I understood from the description that the fit is relaxed/looser - it looks nice from the front - but from the side it sits a bit too far from my stomach and back - I know this is the trend, but I just ordered it in size XS to see how that looks. In size small the arms are roomy too and the sleeves are plenty long for my 5'7" frame. It's a nice navy.

Not LL Bean Quality
Love the fit and style. I have only worn it once for a couple of hours and the sleeves are already pilled as well as the sides of the sweater. Very disappointed with the quality for the price. Not LL Bean quality

High‑quality and warm
The LL Bean Signature Wool Fisherman Crew is an excellent sweater — high‑quality, warm, and perfect for both cool fall days and cold winter weather. My wife really likes the fit and craftsmanship, and it has a classic look that works well for everyday wear. When it arrived, it did have a noticeable chemical smell, but after one wash the odor disappeared completely. Overall, it’s a well‑made, comfortable sweater that she’s very happy with.
