These shoes were about a size too big . They were marked size 9 but fit like a size 10. They wouldn’t even stay on my feet. Unfortunately I took these shoes with me on vacation without trying them on before I left. I can’t wear them. I have worn size 9 my entire adult life and have never had an issue. With any other manufacturer, unfortunately I threw all of the packaging. Very disappointed

Not one of Bean’s best.
I was thinking about buying these shoes and went into the store to try them on. Glad I did. Fit was true. Leather seemed quite thin, as compared to say the camp moc. The sole really had no comfort at all. I walked around for about 5 minutes and I found the loafers a very basic shoe, with no real comfort or padding to them. Also, there was a very weird crease in the leather that I could plainly see when not only walking, but when I took hem off. Crease was horizontal about 4 inches from the toe. I was excited to buy a pair of these as they are of classic design and looks. Not going to happen this version of Venetian loafers…. Do Bean shoe developers ever ask people to try the shoes before they go to market? I’m pretty sure if they had, they would have put a little more thought into this shoe.

Size runs large
I normally order size 12 when buying shoes from LL Bean. This time I ordered 11 1/2 but they were much too large -- mostly in width.
I like the style and the quality looked fine.
