We combined the warmth of our popular Mountain Classic Fleece with a durable, water-resistant shell for all-season versatility. Wear the outer shell alone on warm, wet days, wear the inner fleece alone on cool, dry days, or wear them together for superior comfort when conditions change.

Outer Shell Great. Inner Shell Horrible.
I needed a new mid-weight jacket to replace one I had for more than 15 years. I really like the outer shell of this jacket. The inner shell is horrible. When the inner shell is in place, you can't easily slip the jacket on and off. It grabs at what you're wearing, particularly the sleeves. The inner shell needs a lining. I almost returned this jacket, but I like the outershell so much, I kept it. The inner shell will go to the garbage can. It is really that bad. I'm a life long LL Bean customer, and I'm shocked they turned out a product with an inner lining this bad.
