Durable, great looking and warm, our classic waxed cotton outerwear features revolutionary DownTek insulation that's treated to repel 33% more moisture and dry 66% faster than untreated down. Built with rugged British Millerain waxed cotton, renowned for shedding damp, cold weather since the 1880s. It will gain a vintage patina as it ages, becoming better looking the more you wear it.

Super coat!
This is a great coat - super snug and warm. It feels good on - not heavy - and it really breaks the wind. The color is attractive. The pockets are deep and good. There are no negatives with this coat!

Beautiful coat but gets SO dirty
I really want to love this coat. It's so warm, beautiful construction. I'm 5'5", 135 pounds and ordered a Medium and it's perfect, has just enough extra room for a thick sweater. BUT. This coat collects dirt and dust like nothing I've ever owned and you cannot wash it. You can't throw it in the washer, can't get it dry cleaned, all you can do is wipe it down with a damp rag and even when I do that, it leaves so much lint behind that my lint roller can't pick up. So I just walk around in a dirty coat. I definitely regret purchasing this.

Waxed down hooded jacket
Beautiful and super warm. I love this coat! Its made extremely well. Plenty of pockets and the snaps on the back add style and character. Its especially great when its windy. The wind doesn't get through. Everyone asks where I got it!

Exceptional coat!!
Love this coat so much. Bought the men’s for my husband for Christmas and he loved it so much that we bought the coat in women’s for me. Beautifully made, very warm, and doesn’t weigh you down with bulkiness. Just a dream to wear and work in doing farm chores and outside activities. Cold windy days are no bother.

Upcountry Waxed Down Hooded Coat
I was intrigued to try this coat because if it's waxed exterior description. Also described to be good against damp chilly weather, and it is. I had a Land's End coat on order, but they still use PFAS in their water proof clothing, so I opted for LLBean, which according to their site, stopped using pfas containing fabrics in 2024.
It fits well, sleeves are a bit long. I just rolled them up a bit.
I also love the waist high pockets.

Dust Collector
It collects a lot of dust and small particles and needs to be wiped down every day to remove. Cannot wash jacket.
