Beautiful Brown Plaid Shirt
I was looking for a chic brown plaid that didn’t look like a lumberjack. This shirt checks all the boxes: pretty plaid (not too busy), nice feminine ruffle detail without looking like a 4 year old girl, great silhouette (not too boxy or voluminous). Great TTS fit. I am 5’2” and 111 and took the XS regular size.

Get one size smaller
These run big, so get one size down. This is a really flattering shirt if you get the right fit. I'm often a medium, and the size small is generous, but not too big. I wear a camisole underneath.

Disappointed
I tried this shirt on in our local LLBean store in Regular. It was too big so I ordered the M Petite (my regular LL Bean size) online. I normally love the smocky, Bohemian styling and have several shirts that are similar. This one was a big disappointment. It fit me, but looked awful on me. It did not hang well, the sleeves were uncomfortable as they hit just below the elbow so interfered as I used my arms, and it hung like a dish towel. I sent it back.

Fabulous but this Petite woman had to get Regular!
I ALWAYS buy Petite from LL Bean. It always a perfect fit. In this lovely Shirt, it runs a bit too SHORT. It is NOT CROPPED but it didn’t fall at my high hip. It fell a little higher. I am 5” 1/2”, 130lbs and usually wear Petite Small. I returned it to the store and bought the Regular Small and it is PERFECT. Great material too. Not as heavy as a flannel. Wonderful for FALL (or those of us who run hot). In fact, I’m back to buy another colour now that I know how it fits. For those who want a closer fit, I would suggest sizing down.
Speaking of fitting: I WISH the LLBean Store had as many Jeans for sale for Women as they do for Men. There was an entire WALL for men and just a few for Women. There are so many online but we Women need to try jeans on.
