Most slippers are made to stay inside, but not the Lodge Moc. Our designers crafted them to be as practical as they are comfortable by combining premium leather uppers with a grippy, outdoor-ready Vibram cupsole. Along with a cushioned insole, they're more than ready for the front porch, farmer's market and more.

Too big and too narrow
First disappointment is whole sizes only. Next is the narrowness of the opening. Once my heel slips out, the opening narrows up again, and I have to use my hands to put the shoe back on. Wore them three times, for under ten minutes each time, and my feet were covered in blisters. After this last wear (6 minute roundtrip walk), I now have blood stains on the heel from the inch long blisters that formed and tore open on the back of my feet, and a blister on each pinky toe. Previous wears gave me blisters on the insides of both feet, as well as heels and toes.
Even if I could break them in, the foot moving around won't change and without a soft inside, the blisters won't end.

Well made, but may not work for many.
I bought these as "around the house" shoes. They are nicely made and appear sturdy. However, the size I ordered (12) was almost a size too large. I was surprised because I have other size 12 Bean shoes that fit perfectly. I couldn't order 11.5 because they only come in whole sizes. The shoes also have a very pronounced arch to the insole, which is odd in a shoe that is being sold as a slipper. Note that these are most definitely not slippers; they are shoes. Given that they were too large, it was hard to tell if the arch issue would make them uncomfortable. They might still work for some people, but I returned mine.
