Good Pant with Two Major Flaws
Overall I like these pants, but as other reviewers have stated the waist button shank is way too long. It not only looks goofy, but wearing a belt makes it uncomfortable. Second issue is that all pockets need to be deeper to accommodate larger cell phones. It seems these are two easy fixes to make these a great pant. Hopefully a future update will remedy these two problems.

New isn’t always better.
My sense is these pants are not as finely made as previous Cresta hikers I’ve purchased. The features have changed ie loss of zippered cargo pocket on left, addition of watch pocket(worthless) on right and a clunky waist button above the zipper. Good news is that it is available in black which is only reason I purchased this pair.

Waist snap is now a 3/8" slug
I have 4 pair of past years Cresta Hiking pants. Previously the waist fastener was a snap that played nice with a belt. The Men's Cresta Hiking pants that I just received now use a button with a painfully long (3/8") shank that pokes you in the stomach if you wear a belt.

Inaccurate product description for pockets
Purchased for walking and disappointed in product description for pockets. These pants have only one cargo pocket. A more accurate description is that the pants have five pockets: two front pockets, one angled cargo pocket with zipper, and two back pockets with the right back pocket having a zipper.
The front pockets and cargo pocket are not deep enough for a large cell phone.
The fit (33/29) is good for my 5 foot 8 inch, 170 lbs.
The material is soft and comfortable.
