Thin, loose weave
Thin, flimsy, loose weave; why can't anyone make quality sweaters anymore? My old sweaters are much better, denser weave, and warmer.

Please Bring These Sweaters Back!!
I bought 2 of these in the fall for my husband thinking I’d let him chose his favorite color, but they fit so well I insisted he keep both. He has been wearing both of them the last few months and they fit so well and are of such a nice quality that I wanted to buy him another for Christmas before they sold out - but it’s too late! I especially love how you offer this sweater in regular and tall so the sleeve fit him.

Very nice, smooth
Nice sweater, the green color is a nice green. The merino is tight and very smooth. Good weight. The seams on the shoulders are an intentional design feature which I suspect also makes the sweater cheaper to manufacture. This is not an unusual feature on a sweater but feel it is slightly too roughly done on this sweater that makes it look more like a backwards seam than a design, but think many will be fine with it. The fit for me was perfect.

An Old Favorite Brings Disappointment
I have been buying these sweaters for years for all the men in my life, and my husband has many versions. Unfortunately, these are not the soft, slightly-tailored sweaters of the past. The fabric is stretchy and looks cheap (and I fear it will pill), and the shoulder seams stand up awkwardly and do not lay flat. The seams are poorly sewn. While the colors are still rich and beautiful, the overall product looks very cheap and nothing like the generations of wool- or cotton-blend crewneck sweaters that are the staple of my husband's wardrobe. Please bring back the quality, LL Bean!!

Very nice Merino wool sweater!
Very pleased with this purchase. The cut is roomy without being baggy, which is great for us guys with more athletic type frames. I ordered the XXL and it has good space and stretch in the arms, shoulders, and chest areas. The quality feels quite good as well. Yes, I would recommend this sweater and possibly order another in the future in a different color. For reference, I am 5'9" and 230 pounds. The XXL fits great!
