Stiff cotton after washing/with shrinkage
Not sure what processing this cotton involves when they are manufactured, but when the LLBean cotton products arrive they are very soft. After washing however, following instructions perfectly, the sweaters become rough and stiff. I have no intentions of loading my washer with triple fabric softener just to try to retain the softness of the cotton sweaters LL Bean sells. LL Bean cotton sweaters have to be full of chemicals to achieve the softness prior to a customer washing the item to end up with an entirely different product.
