Sole seems less robust
Third time buyer of these shoes over the last 4 years. I use them year-round for my morning walks here in western Colorado. The climate is arid and the trails rocky. These provide excellent grip and adequate cushion, especially at the price point.
I usually get 1.5 to 2 years of use but the latest pair seem to have gotten a sole upgrade. While the upgrade seems to improve traction and causes the shoe to more tightly hugg my foot , the sole doesn't seem as robust previous versions as an outer sole has started to tear away from fibrous rubber inner material after about 5 weeks of use (about 100 miles total). It was an easy enough fix though with some duct tape and shoe adhesive.

Cheap Shoe Laces / Replacements Don't Fit Eyelet
Cheap laces will need to be replaced. THE PROBLEM - Replacement hiking boot laces don't fit through the narrow metal eyelet at the top of the shoe. Very good shoe otherwise.
