Great Jacket. But...
Love the fit and construction. Needs to be worn to get softer. A little stiff when new.
Drizzle and rain bead off. Warm early spring and fall.
The snaps open easily if the jacket is not zippered... Larger snaps or tighter fitting.
Otherwise it's a favorite .

winter jacket
Just got this jacket and it isn't winter so I can't comment on its warmth. But several early observations.. It is a very nicely made jacket with some thoughtful features like the button thumb loop, easy to button ,not sure about unbuttoning it tho. Solidly built throughout with the perfect amount of insulation. I have a reasonable tolerance to cold so I am sure a flannel shirt and this coat will do for all I do in the winter- probably a t shirt under the coat when I shovel snow and snow throw the driveway. I have been a puffer jacket person for years but thought this looked like a nice change of pace and tough enough that I did not have to worry about snagging the nylon of the puffer jacket. It is a heavy coat wt wise compared to the puffer so that will be different. The worse thing is (nothing to do with the coat) is my chest size is one inch bigger than Xlarge and one inch short of XXlarge. The XX large was too big and this one is on the border of being too small- the curse of my body. I will come back after a winter's use for further comments but so far it is very nice jacket.

My favorite coat
This is a well thought out and well made jacket. The chest pockets hold a wallet and phone and snap shut. The hand pockets are lined and zipper shut. The inside chest pocket also can hold wallet or phone. Along with a zipper the snap receivers are switched to a loop making them very easy to use. It is warm and holds up in a strong wind.

Love This Utility Jacket ... a LL Bean Classic
Love this utility jacket! The style, fit and rugged construction are perfect for me. Although light weight, it keeps me warm without being overly bulky ... perfect for those seasonal transition times (spring and fall) where temps are a bit unpredictable and variable. I'm a long time LL Bean customer with the expectation of ruggedness and good value for the money ... this utility jacket does not disappoint!
