These should be called something different
I’ve bought 7 pairs of these for work over the decades and they have recently changed. They don’t feel the same and the materials are slightly different.

Need to break them in
This boot is somewhat stiff and was kinda surprised because it has a Vibram sole. I’ve been slowly working them in. I did a 3 hour hike in 6” of snow and my feet remained warm and dry. Good comfort and traction. They appear to have solid construction and are well made.

Expensive junk
You would think for $280 these would be good boots that would last a long time. From my experience, one sole completely fell off while I was in the woods making the rest of the day less than ideal. The only thing holding the soles on is glue. I would not waste my money on these.

NOT waterproof at all
I waited patiently for the new boots to come out. I’m on my third pair in just a handful of months because of major defects when the boots arrived. The 3rd pair that I am now wearing,I was able to fix on my own. I managed to deal with all this BUT they are NOT waterproof! I’ve owned Crestas for probably 30 years and I’ve never had this issue until this new addition came out. The issue seems to be in the front. The other problem is that pieces of leather are constantly coming off. Never had this issue before either with such little use. For the cost, I’m quite shocked at how far downhill the quality has gone. Very disappointed because I need these boots for the ankle support and they had always been perfect for my hiking needs. I’ve been trying to get by but we got a dusting of snow Sunday and the boots were wet inside when I got home!

Great boots
Great boots. My third pair in 30 years of hiking. Still have old ones and they are still in good shape. I just wanted a fresh pair. Very waterproof and comfortable.
