Good Looking Boots
These were nice boots and looked good, but they were a little high and heavy for me. They probably would be great for hiking, but I wanted them more for walking in bad weather. So, I returned them and chose another pair.

Light, well made, comfy, runs a little large
These boots are comfortable and needed zero break-in period. They are roomy and I needed this as I have custom orthotics that need to fit in there without making them too tight. Anyone that has custom orthotics might know that sizing up isn't always the right move to keep things in proportion. I bought these to take on a trip to Alaska where we hiked some trails that were medium difficulty on rocky terrain and I found them to be grippy and did not experience any sliding.

solid boots
I bought these for a trip to Scotland. I have hard feet to fit--long and narrow, so it is impossible to buy in a store. I took a chance on these. The fit is overall good with double socks. I wish they had another hook to lace them, rather than just one. Both of my 2nd toenails got significantly bruised, so the toe box is not deep. I didn't get any blisters and except for the 2nd toes, they were comfortable. Probably run slightly narrow (which for me is good).

Trail model x hiking boots
I purchased these boots because I needed something with more grip when hiking in the woods. I have a young Golden Retriever who pulls a bit and I was worried about falling. They have worked out great. Good grip and light weight.

Structural issues on right show
Leaving two stars instead of one because the left shoe was so supremely comfortable and supportive, it was tragic that there were issues with the structural support on the right shoe. On the right, the side support has clearly been mismade and dug uncomfortably into my foot. Tried trading in the ones I bought but they all seem to have this issue. If you look at the insole, you'll see a crease there on the right shoe caused by this structural support issue that's not on the left side. Really bizarre.

Great, reasonably priced hiking boots
I tried a lot of hiking boots before buying these. These gave the best fit, ankle support, and best price of all. I have worn them several times hiking and am very pleased with them. I have a narrow heel, and these don't slip. The tread grip is perfect. I am glad i bought these and I highly recommend them.
