Leg opening is much wider than shown
I need a narrower leg opening than 17". This pant fits as a straight leg, sadly not a tapered leg as indicated. Beautiful fabric, hangs well. Have to size down.

Perfect fit and softness
Finally the perfect pair of pants that fits a shorter petite well. The inseam plus the slight taper are spot on for me. The fabric is very soft and both the black and blue pants are holding up well after washing. I was worried about the waistband when I saw them, but they are completely comfortable with just the right amount of elastic, without itching or tightness. Couldn't be happier, love these.

Perfect fit - for whom?
This is the first (and last) time I have bought pants from LL Bean. I generally buy pants in a size 10, maybe 12, but size Medium is generally a good fit. So I bought size Medium as the website said Medium was size 10-12. But these - the legs were about 12 inches wide in the thigh and far too big, all the way down. I bought 4 pair, because I wasn't sure whether to buy Petite or Regular. Didn't matter, I will be returning them all immediately unworn, lest I risk not getting a full refund. The material is surprisingly "hard" and uncomfortable as well.

Best pants ever
These are my sixth pair of these pants. They fit so well and hold up great! Highly recommend. I am short and pear shaped and these pants fit me perfectly.

Very Versatile
I started wearing these about 15 years ago because I had cast on my foot and these went on easily. I often wear them with pima cotton T shirts.This works well when traveling and needing to go out for breakfast. I use them as PJ's and don't have to change until I finished my coffee. I already look like I've dressed. Then I would put on another pair with a dressier top for going out. They are great to work out in too. Wrinkles disappear after a few minutes upon wearing. I'm home now and wear a pair of these and a T. If someone comes to the door I can easily greet them as I know I appear fully dressed. Perfect Pants!

Fabric different
I have ordered these pants in the past and this pair has a much thinner fabric. It is more silky and slippery. Not as nice as the pants of the past.
