For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.
- Each color is carefully matched to the historical tartans in the Scottish registry.
- Authentic tartans are yarn-dyed for lasting color.

Purchased as a birthday gift yet-to-come… My husband has worn LLB flannel shirts for well over 30 years… with 8 in the closet at all times… one wears out: It gets replaced with a new one each birthday. I’d say that’s TRUST in LLB!!

Great shirt, just a little short.
Great shirt. Great fabric. Fits well (neck, sleeves, chest), but it's shorter than other LL Bean shirts I've bought, and the Tall version is too long. I wish it were 1-2" longer.
