A quality turtleneck
The LL Bean Interlock Turtleneck Shirt is a very good weight (not too heavy, but not at all thin or sheer), and it's soft and the white is a good version of white. It is a regular shape with a proper high neck that you can fold down, but don't. Only be aware that it may be a bit snug in the tummy area if you yourself are less than snug in the tummy area as is my situation. I tried to go up a size which made it work better around the tummy, but it was too big on the shoulders. So I'll be doing sit ups and sticking with my true size--the Large Regular, not XL regular. By the way, it didn't occur to me to look for a version of this in a more full cut bec I'm always a large regular, but I wonder if they make a more full-around-the-tummy version? No matter--I'll have a sweater over it anyway. I'm very happy with this turtleneck shirt!

5’6”. 120 lb. Size Small Soft and comfortable. I liked the reinforced, elasticized neck and wrists of the old turtlenecks, but these are very nice.

Interlock tall turtleneck - great fit and feel
At 5’ 8” and 133 lbs, the tall, medium Interlock 100% cotton turtlenecks are perfect arm and torso length for me! A tad on the loose fitting side and that is my preference in this casual turtleneck. I ordered 3 and am keeping them all!!
