Dang near indestructible workhorse bag
My teenage son used one of these bags for FIVE PLUS YEARS as a locker, very overloaded with books/computer/food etc. For quite some time he started his day at the high school, and was bussed to the middle school to finish. Another brand’s wheeled backpack broke. The bag itself had a rough day for a couple years!
The big tough LLBean bag continued serving through high school and as my son began to drive, still being tossed around everywhere by this big kid, the straps easily handled what felt like a ton of bricks to me some days. Toward the end of his junior year, the stitching at the top of the bag started to separate. At that point I had assumed the bag was some kind of indestructible unicorn—I was almost surprised! But I was happy to order him another one this summer to use for his senior year of high school. I have no doubt it will last through college and beyond.
If you’re trying to decide on this bag, it’s a no brainer. Get it. The only question is size, this or the smaller one. For practical purposes, this bag may be “too much” for some applications. It holds 4 to six textbooks, a laptop and headset, binders/notebooks, lunchbox, pair of shoes, one change of clothes, with room to spare in the front pockets for wallet, phone, keys, etc.
