Brought tears to my eyes!
I’ve been a LLBean fan since I began college I am 32 now, and I remembered years ago looking at the continentual rucksack with leather accents when I saw they just their waxed canvas rucksack I had to buy it. Upon arrival I opened it up and it’s soft yet so sturdy it has such a patina charm and feels soo earthy I made me cry because it makes me so excited for this bag to be my companion during my long walks and work! if you are a rucksack fan especially if you’ve been waiting around for a more LLBean heritage style continental rucksack look no further! Thank you LL Bean I am hoping for decades and wonderful patina it of this bag! Just holding it reminded me why I love this company so much and how it fuels our love for nature it also has a very bushcraft vibe this bag! Thank you ❤️

Holds a 40oz Klean Kanteen
I always wanted a Continental Rucksack, I like the simple rucksack design, no zippers that can foul, nice snap to the polymer buckles, decent nylon web straps, the bottom straps are still to short for any medium sized blanket other than a jacket or to cinch up the extra space in the pack,but they can be extended more 3/4" nylon strap and by using a tri-glide slider (the right way or else it will slip) The top straps are the 1" type and may need to also be extended if you plan on putting anything larger than a jacket under it. The canvas is very smooth and has a fine weave that will not burn you when you rub against it like heavy duty thick polyester and canvas will. it rides fine and the shoulder straps are fine. At first I was concerned that the canvas was too thin, but its about the same thickness as the 600D polyester packs so I don't expect any problems. The Thyme color is a very dark forest/ army green under sunlight, but has a dark grey appearance under ceiling lights inside. it has a 210D nylon liner, it may be a little light on the wax though, its doubled stitched, the pass-thru side pockets are nice. Oh and did I mention the side pockets will hold my 40oz KK, the pockets are at max but they fit, and the lid covers them fully with only a slight 4-leaf clover wavy appearance at the edge. so far I'm very happy with the pack.
