Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm as a sleeping bag I love this coat! I am a woman, and my coat is a men’s small so a little long in the sleeves but great in bad weather! It’s also long enough it keeps the wind from coming up my back. Water proof and storm proof. The manufacturer needs to make a model for women. I wear it outside for winter chores and for walking in stormy and freezing weather

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket My Mom, may she rest in peace, bought this for me when I lived in Tennessee. Wore it skiing and riding my motorcycle. Rain, cold, didn’t matter. Kept me warm and dry. Moved to Albany Georgia and it kept me dry while doing Home Healthcare visits on my Motorcycle. I still have the Jacket and liner, but I had to get another zipper put on liner. Wouldn’t work anymore. Doesn’t zip into shell anymore but still can wear effectively. Wouldn’t trade it for any other jacket. I believe it’s lost a little down but for over 20 years old, I can’t complain. Every time I wear it I feel my Mom, Mildred Wells, is right there with me. I’m a Navy Veteran and finally retired and I let my wife wear the shell with a Columbia fleece liner and I wear the down liner. Still going strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great winter coat! I had looked at this coat the previous year but by the time I tried to buy it they were sold out. This year I bought one early and I'm glad I did. The northeast is having a really cold winter this year and this coat has been great at isolating me from the extreme cold. Below zero temps are no problem for this coat. Some have noted the coat is heavy and it is but it is it's own environment in brutally cold conditions. The heft of the coat is balanced out by the superior performance in windy below zero wind chills. I take this coat along when I go off roading. If I become stranded I know this coat will keep me very warm and dry. If you want a coat that will keep you warm for long periods in cold conditions this is one you should consider.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Frustrating Zipper Super warm. We were below 0 and had a foot of snow on the ground but I was fine in a t shirt with this jacket. Tons of pocket space. Absolutely infuriating zipper. Cannot get the thing to zip without at least 5+ attempts. For the life of me I cannot figure out the secret. And this is inside without gloves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WARM! I have had mine for over a decade. Only problem is it is too warm for anything over 20 degrees F, and even then I tend to wear it open. If active, comfortable at 20 below 0 in the UP in Michigan. 14 pockets! Heavy, but purpose built and magnificent for that purpose!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Winter coat Best Winter coat I have ever owned. Each part of the coat can be worn separately. I wear the inner/puffer jacket all the time. Yes, wearing the entire coat is not light, but it is designed to keep the user warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from coat for a lifetime I've had one of these coats for 25 years and still wearing it. The zipper is starting to get fussy. I hope it can be replaced as the coat has doubled in price like everything else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great parka This parka is warm, comfortable, with plenty of pockets and a good design. The only problem I have is the main zipper is very hard to work, sometimes frustratingly so.
