Our founder, L.L., first introduced genuine handsewn mocs 100 years ago in 1926, and we've made them better than ever before. We added a more flexible insole and upgraded the foam underfoot for immediate comfort right out of the box. A new leather sock liner molds to your foot over time for custom comfort and a barefoot feel. And new, high-quality leathers that start out comfy and get better the more you wear them.

Better Quality Control
Actually, should probably be 3 1/2 stars … the good - like the darker brown color and textured leather … the not so good - poor quality control over shoes, in general ; there seems, consistently, to be workmanship issues; with many of the model “II” shoes the insoles aren’t glued in particularly well; with my current pair of shoes, it took trying 5 pairs before I got a pair that was “pretty good” (one of the shoe’s insoles wasn’t glued on real well and, that shoe had an ink pen mark that was quite visible).

Wearing everyday..
So for years I have been wearing running/walking style shoes and on occasion some chukkas..Not saying that i dont still wear them sometimes.I bought these Moccasins 6 months or so ago and I've been wearing them pretty much everyday. They are everything Bean says and everything all these reviews say..Would buy again for sure..Thanks Bean...
