This is the ultimate sportsman's day pack. Designed with the help of Maine State Game Wardens, this technical day pack will be your first choice for all your hunting, fishing and outdoor adventures. It's also the wardens' first choice as it is standard issue to all Maine Game Wardens. A portion of each sale is donated to the Maine Warden Service Search & Rescue Fund.
Maine State Game Wardens are the pinnacle of outdoor expertise and knowledge. If you get lost or hurt in the woods, they are the ones who come and get you, no matter the terrain or weather. The pack they carry in the field must perform at the highest level. That's why we asked for their help designing this one. The result is a premium technical pack that is perfect for all outdoor adventures. In fact, it's so good it's standard issue to all Maine State Game Wardens.
- Waterproof fabric creates a highly water resistant pack to protect gear in challenging conditions.
- Raised air mesh back panels for comfort, breathability and support.
- Dual water bottle pockets. The pack is also compatible with a hydration bladder with an internal sleeve and port; bladder sold separately.
- Matte finish eliminates game-spooking shine.
- Pack body is made from tough, waterproof TPU-coated 900d recycled polyester with a polyurethane backing fabric. Please note: seams are not taped so pack is highly water-resistant but not 100% waterproof.
- Waterproof bottom panel for protection in canoe, boat or wet ground.
- Padded fleece pocket for field glasses, electronics or sunglasses.
- Emergency whistle is built into the sternum strap.

Great Pack
I’ve only used it on a few hikes, but so far it’s been extremely comfortable. The way the pocket opens all the way is great. I’m excited to see how the water resistant material works, but haven’t been out in the rain yet.

Excellent Pack for Long Day Hikes
As a long-time LLBean customer and supporter of our Maine Game Wardens, I’m very impressed with the Maine Warden’s Field Pack. It fits comfortably, even on long day hikes, and the organization is intuitive and easy to use. Everything has its place, making it simple to find what I need quickly on the trail. Time to rock and roll
This is a great update to the Warden field pack. I had the last iteration and used it daily. They have made some significant changes to its functionality. One major improvement is the increased size of the main opening allows larger gear to be stored. The shoulder straps are also reinforced and hold it snug to the body. I love the whistle they added too. I need to adventure more with this to make a better comparison. But initial impressions are positive. Materials are top notch. Love the bigger zippers. There are also more pockets and sleeves on the inside. Other features like the top compartment with lining for glasses or phones are still there and roomy. When packed, it sits higher on the back, and not as low as the last one. Overall excellent and I am excited to use this. The Warden line is one of my favorites and the quality is there to depend on when you get in the thick of the weather or woods.
