Disappointment
Soft and super cool design but ultimately 90 bucks down the drain. As other reviewers pointed out, the quality is so poor that the sweater couldn't even withstand a wash without forming holes. Fiancé snagged a huge hole by brushing against a freaking leaf. a LEAF!! No matter how careful you are or if you hand wash this will fall apart. Not even sure this stupid review is going to go anywhere but the void because the loon sweater has been taken off the website. Such a shame because I'd happily pay double for a sweater with this loon design if it was actually designed to last more than a week.

Arrived with a hole!
Within one wear it had a small hole on the stomach! I just wore it to work so I'm not sure how I could've caused it and I feel like it should be a little more durable than that!

Arrived with holes and poorly made
I was really disappointed when we got this sweater since the design is really neat, and I was expecting high quality with LL Bean. It arrived with 5 holes in it, and you could tell by feel that it would have immediately fallen apart if it was put in the wash (the threads were already coming apart if the sweater was pulled at all). Poor fabrication and I regret purchasing it for my husband.

Great Gift!
I took my wife to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Minnesota this summer and she saw and heard her very first loon. I luckily happened upon an ad for this and bought it for her as a gift and she fell in love with the design, the coziness and weight. She wears it all the time!
