The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. From good luck to a plentiful catch, special sentiments were represented in each and every stitch. A classic look
A classic design, but the knit is probably a little on the heavy side. This limits the situations for wearing comfortably.
I returned the small size, which fit exactly. I assumed the 100% cotton would shrink a bit. Re-ordered the medium, and it fit better after a wash. Factor in fiber-tightening if you are between sizes.
