Flattering fit, warm and burly
I bought this a long with the bean Sherpa fleece to try and ended up keeping this one. I'm tall and trim at 6'4" and 165 lbs. Happy to report that these in size tall have a perfect amount of length. There's nothing worse than tall sizes still coming up short. Nobody wants a jacket with inadequate coverage. The fit is flattering-- not too baggy and not too tight. Nailed it on that one LL Bean. The reason I returned the Sherpa fleece is it was significantly more baggy and gave my body a pot belly shape like a pear even though I have a broad chest. This is a lighter fleece than the Sherpa which was definitely warmer but this is still plenty warm. If you're looking for the warmest fleece then go for the Sherpa. Wore this over a flannel in 38 degrees at night and didn't come close to getting cold. Id wear it down to around 30 and would probably be fine without a shell over it. It is ultra comfortable and cozy. Makes you not want to take it off. The hoodie style pockets in the front are soft and inviting to your hands. I do wish they would zip shut but there still is the zippered chest pocket which fits my phone just fine. If I were to make this thing "perfect" I would have LL Bean line it with a fabric with less friction than fleece similar to the setup on the Sherpa fleece jacket. Pullovers can be challenging to take on and off when wearing a shirt beneath that isn't particularly slick like a flannel. I'll wear this casually as it looks pretty nice. Also will use it as a warmer mid layer under a shell on particularly cold/ windy days and as an outer layer on cold days that aren't so bitter. My favorite fleece I've ever owned.

Good value, warm fleece, looks and feels nice. Decent as a mid layer on a colder ski day, maybe a little heavier compared to something more technical. Pockets are nice to have as well

Comfy but too long
It's a nice fleece and the pockets are large. I ordered a size small and while it fits my chest just fine, it's much too long for a small size.

Warm
It’s warm. I just wish it had a little stretch to the fleece. I’m old and putting it on overhead I get claustrophobic pulling it down and all that. Same thing with trying to relax with it on. The upper arm openings don’t give and I get a bound up feeling. A feller has to be able to move. 😁
