Disappointing
My husband has only worn this robe a few times since March purchase. It looks so shabby! Fabric pills! This is the first time I have rated something from LL Bean poorly.

Poor quality
I have used this robe for about a month and it is covered with pilling. It now looks awful. Plus, the way the lapels are sewn onto the main body of the robe, the seams fold outward and are clearly visible on the front of the robe. I have always enjoyed and appreciated the quality of products from L.L.Bean, but this quilted robe is not up to the quality that I would expect, even from a cheap discount store. It’s truly awful. On the plus side, it’s comfortable. It just looks terrible, so I will look for another robe. I am very unhappy to have wasted my money on this.

Just right!
Usually when I purchase a robe for my husband, he will say it's either too heavy, or too thin, but this one Papa Bear says is just right! Mama Bear says it washes up well too.

Nice Robe. Poor Fabric Choice.
I've had the navy version of the robe since mid-February (about a month and a half). I really like the fit and weight (I'm in San Diego). But the fabric pilling that many other reviews mention has started, particularly on and around the belt. And there are microscopic fiber that it sheds and trails. I have not washed it yet, but I'm not optimistic. It seems like nobody at L.L. Bean took one of these home and wore it for a couple of months before they decided to go into production and start marketing it. I had a 10+ years old LLB robe that I tossed when I first got this, so I'll probably keep this and be on the lookout for a replacement somewhere.

Super comfy but pilly after first wash
I’m a tall gal who wanted a nice robe. It is super comfortable and is great for late night feeding with my new born. First time I washed it, it became super pilly. Was disappointed about that but otherwise loved it.
