My order arrived today and I absolutely love these jeans! They’re officially my new favorite pair. The mid-rise and straight-cut fit are super flattering, and as someone who needs a shorter inseam, I really appreciate that L.L.Bean offers a 28" inseam and a petite category. The waist is not mid rise even though described as such.
It is high rise. I'm finding it impossible to get a true mid rise.

Mid-Rise?
I was looking for a pair of jeans that could be my "favorite, go-to jean." I mostly buy tops and sweaters from LLB, but thought I would venture into a pair of jeans. The color was what I wanted, the feel of the material was soft and comfy, and I liked the relaxed fit. But the waist was w-a-y past my bellybutton! I thought mid-rise would be more at my bellybutton, but I felt like I was wearing a girdle! These will be returned and my hunt continues!

Runs larger than the size chart indicates. Also looks like someone used a box cutter to open the box that this pair was on top. Nice slash on the outer thigh area. Didn’t notice until after I washed them.

Where, for the love of God, can I find regular all cotton jeans? Polyester and spandex mixed into cotton denim jeans is just plain gross.
