Perfect Layering Piece
I love the weight of these flannels. Not too thick but also not flimsy. Can totally be worn open over a tee shirt for a "shacket" look. I purchased mine large so that I can do just that. I got 2 colors and love them both.

Worth it!!!
It is a nice layer. I ordered a large so that I could wear a turtle neck or other item under. It is a little thicker and very warm. I get many compliments about the color. It has a soft feeling like it has been a favorite for a long time.

1912 Field Flannel Shirt, Carbon Navy Windowpane
I looked forward to the arrival of this flannel shirt a few weeks ago.t. I love good flannel that is wearable over two or three seasons. The color navy is one of my favorites. The shirt's style enhances my indoor and outdoor outfits. Good workmanship as to the fit, buttonholes, color etc. However, the side seam stripes of the windowpane design did not match at all. A half inch off on one side and an inch off on other side. A sure sign of poor-quality work.. I learned this from my 8th grade sewing teacher many years ago and never forgot. Given the cost of the shirt, it is disappointing that sloppy workmanship is allowed I will keep the shirt this time, but disappointed in LLBean allowing the lower standards of workmanship,

SHRINKS HORRIBLY!! Bummed...
It's been 20 years since I purchased womens flannel shirts with LLBean so I ordered this beautiful red plaid. The fabric is soft and color gorgeous. It fit wonderfully. I bought the small, my normal size based on reviews.
I washed delicate, tumble dried low and removed while still damp and it still shrunk a complete size!! It is too small to wear comfortably.
I was pretty horrified and SUPER disappointed since I loved it so much before washing.
I would love to get a refund for this as even on sale it was expensive.
Bummed.

This shirt faded when washed and shrunk horribly. For the steep price I expected better quality. I’m 5’2” and the regular sizes are huge but petite sizes are way too short - seems like there’s no in between with this brand.
