1912 plaid shirt
Returning because didn't like fabric or how it hangs on you, mostly by collar.

Feels VERY old
The fabric is extremely soft and has slubs as if I’ve been wearing it for 20 years. . The collar is wrinkly unless it’s ironed. I was expecting a more refined flannel I guess. I’m keeping it because, as I said, it’s VERY soft.

“Only one problem”
There was just one problem with this 1912 Field Flannel: the LLBean skin irritating tag and loop above the tag at the inside neck of the shirt. I had to spend 2 hours carefully removing it so the shirt was actually wearable. Though this product is supposed to be 100% cotton, it seems the thread used to secure these labels was synthetic and the ends sharp causing redness and irritation. As much as I love this shirt I would not purchase another or recommend it until this problem is fixed.

Looks old fast
I bought this shirt in the Faded Mahogany on sale. It's soft, comfortable but after one wash it shrinks a bit and pills a lot. It's fine for hanging around the house or doing yard work but I wouldn't wear it out. It will probably be a shirt I have for one year only. It looks like I've had it a long time. I'll stick with LLBean's traditional flannel.

Pills
Colors, fit and warmth were great, but the fabric pills way more than other LL Bean shirts did

Women's 1912 Field Flannel Shirt
The flannel this shirt is made from is top grade! It is soft yet has strength and beauty. I buy L L Bean flannel shirts because I wear them all winter. Sometimes I wear them with a turtleneck and sometimes just by itself. The plaid in this shirt is different from any I have had before because of its color and plaid. The "aqua" colorline is just right with several other colors: cream, charcoal, and mixed with it all is the light "aqua". These shirts launder well but I dry clean mine in order to keep the colors sharp. I highly recommend these flannel L L Bean shirts.
