Very stylish and flattering
This shirt is as comfortable and flattering as I envisioned when I ordered it, which doesn't always happen. It's cozy and warm for indoor wear in fall and winter and could be worn outdoors in early fall.

Not the best funnel neck
The sweatshirt is rather oversized, soft and comfy, but the funnel neck is a tight fit and tough to pull over my head.

Great shirt but strange fit
This is a great top, except for a defect in the construction that means the shirt needs to be worn backwards in order for the funnel neck to fit correctly. There are many reviews that that refer to the poor fit at the neck. If you look at the 1 and 2 star reviews you see others who have made the same observation that it needs to be worn backwards. I love the shirt, wearing it backward it looks terrific except for the fact the front then is longer than the back. I will need to get out my sewing machine to hem the front.

Soft but the fabric looks terrible
The fit is great. The internal fabric is super soft. But the look of the exterior is very bad. I bought the red, and the specks are not woven into the fabric…they’re sitting on the top so it looks like the fabric has been pilling. Very disappointing.

Warm and soft and addictive for wearing!
I absolutely love this Donegal Funnelneck sweatshirt -- it's become my "go-to" for casual weekend wear. Once you have it on, it's addictive -- you want to wear it all the time! I bought two of them (red and purple) and the colors are wonderful. The fabric is soft enough to sleep in. I was puzzled when I saw another reviewer say the neck was uncomfortable, since the funnel is very wide and does not "bother" the wearer at all. Unless you are someone who pretty much lacks a neck altogether, I don't see how the wide funnel neck could be bothersome. For extra warmth, I bought a size larger than I need and wear a cotton turtleneck shirt under it. I am big on "layers" in the wintertime, since the weather here in Virginia can be freezing one minute and balmy the next. The very soft fabric it's made of has tiny flecks of white in it. I find the white flecks lovely, and they add interest to the overall "look." But I think another reviewer was bothered by the tiny flecks, not knowing what they were. It's certainly not "lint," but I could see how someone might wonder that. If you wear this shirt on a camping trip, it's cozy and soft enough to sleep in. I slept in it on our boat in November on the Chesapeake Bay, and it kept me warm.
