My go-to coat for the Winter season
I own several types of coats, but the Baxter State Parka is a staple in my winter wardrobe. I layer woolen long johns with cotton teeshirts underneath with jeans, and brave the windy, frigid temperatures.

Baxter parker
I loved this pakar, but the zipper never worked right. So now I cannot wear it. The zipper does not work any more.it broke during the winter of last year. Now I have no winter coat to wear. I would love another one, but cannot afford it. LL Bean should have their pakas made here in Maine. They should inspect the quality of their stuff the have mad in cheap countries

Like being wrapped in a warm blanket.
I bought this jacket for my daughter, who is about 5'5". She loved it-- it is very warm, lightweight, and has convenient carry straps if it gets too warm. However, the sleeves were too long, so she ultimately opted for the petite version, which she says fits her perfectly. It's now her favorite piece of winter outerwear as we go below freezing. She says it's like being wrapped in a warm blanket.

warm but shedding feathers
I bought this coat last October to replace the same model I had before - was wonderfully warm but my clothes got covered with feathers every time I wore it. This was especially very obvious when I wore dark clothing (fleece and wool items were the worst). I kept using throughout the winter hoping the feather shedding would stop, but it did not; I will be returning the coat and getting another - and hope the next one does not have the same problem.

Worth every penny
Women’s Baxter State Parka I love this coat. Glad I took the chance. I’m not a fan of the cold so this was perfect for me. We had a lot of 20 something degree weather here this winter and this was a blessing. The inside straps are great like if you’re in the mall and don’t want to carry your coat. You can use them like backpack style which was a great idea LLBean 🙌

Warm but zipper and feathers problematic.
Bought this for a trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights. It kept me warm and dry, but only when I could get the zipper up quickly which was maybe half the time. And when I took it off it left many of it's feathers on my sweaters underneath. Just not happy with this particular coat so sadly will be returning. Not up to Bean's usual high quality.

Great winter Jacket
Jacket is light weight, but warm. Can easily be layered depending on how cold it is. The fact that it is water repellent is a great feature when it is snowing wet snow. I do enjoy the jacket.
