Hood is way too big but otherwise a good jacket
This is a very warm jacket, great stretch fabric and two way zipper. My only complaint is that the hood is too big - you can cinch it down but it makes it cumbersome and uncomfortable. LL Bean - please consider making a normal sized hood for non-helmet dog walkers! I think it is meant to have a helmet but most people use this jacket to walk outside to work, from the car, or with their dog, so it seems like an unnecessary fit sacrifice for a small case scenario.

Wind Challenger-is it worth it??
Bar none-the lightest, airiest, most comfortable, waterproof Jacket I have EVER worn. I was a bit skeptical about the price at first, but, I bit the big one and took the plunge. I HAVENT EVER BEEN HAPPIER with a purchase as I am with my "Wind Challenger". I am an avid L.L.Bean fan. Now I'm forever a repeat customer...

Wind Challenger Stretch Down Jacket
Great fit! Really cuts the wind gusts! Recycled nylon lining fabric is flimsy.

Great jacket, but zipper is a concern
Exceptionally lightweight and comfortable with great freedom of motion. Quite warm considering its very light weight. Quite satisfied with the jacket, although the zipper is a concern. It’s an extremely lightweight, zipper and being the coil type, it presents a lot of resistance when zipping or unzipping the jacket. It’s questionable what the lifespan of the zipper will be. Also this is a two way zipper, but as received the lower zipper has never functioned. It is simply jammed in place. However, the overall comfort and function of the jacket is sufficient for me to overlook this defect. .
